Applicator Pads and Microfiber Cloths |

When applying products to your paint, only use applicator pads designed for the purpose. I always have a few extra on hand. I usually use the foam type (I find it a bit easier to get get into tight places), but they are also available as microfiber. While they can be washed, I will only use a pad once or twice (per side). But rather than discarding the used ones right away, I'll find other uses, like waxing my wheels or my rocker panels, or any other area which may not need the same care as paint. Cloths Microfiber cloths have many uses. They are the preferred method of removing cleaners and waxes from your paint (they are nearly lint-free and are much less likely to scratch paint). They can also be used to clean many other surfaces like plastic, vinyl and leather. As mentioned in the text, you could spend days researching the different types of cloths. (Here's one example.) My two cents: as with so many
other products, don't purchase the cheapest, and buy only brand names
from a trusted source. |
